UAE
Commencing the PT&D operations in the Gulf, way back in 1993 L&T has grown significantly over the last 16 years. Though L&T’s operation spans across the entire UAE, for construction of Substations, Transmission Lines and Underground Cabling works,
Abu Dhabi Water and Electricity Corporation (ADWEA) and Dubai Electricity & Water Corporation (DEWA) are two major customers in UAE.
Oman
L&T reached leadership position in P&TD operations in Oman within a short span of Six years since commencement. Muscat Electricity Distribution (MEDC), Oman Electricity Transmission Company (OETC), Majan Electricity Company (MEC), Dhofar Power Company (DPC) & Petroleum Development Oman (PDO) are some of the major Government customers. In addition, there is considerable presence in the Industrial, Port & Oil Fields for Electrical and Instrumentation works.
Qatar
There is significant potential for business in the Transmission & Distribution works for the Power sector as well as in Electrical and Instrumentation works for the Oil Fields. Major Customers include Qatar General Electricity and Water Corporation (KAHRAMAA), Qatar Petroleum (QP), Qatar Gas (QGas).
Saudi Arabia
L&T is pursuing to extend its presence in the Country, where it had already executed 132 kV Substations in the recent past for Saudi Electricity Company (SEC), Saudi ARAMCO, SABIC – all major Government customers.
