At L&T ECC, Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) is given the highest priority. The EHS Policy enunciated by the Corporate Management lays emphasis on Environment, Health & Safety through a structured approach and a well defined organization. Systems and procedures have been established for implementing the requisites at all stages of construction.

The Head of the EHS Department of L&T ECC operates from the headquarters. He is assisted by the Regional EHS Managers who in turn monitor implementation of EHS measures through Site EHS officers located at job sites.

L&T ECC EHS Department has a structured approach in managing EHS at jobsites. The Quality Management Systems of EHS Department is accredited to ISO 9001-2000 standards. Salient EHS Management Systems adopted are detailed in the table below:
