At L&T Defence we recognize the increasing involvement of technology in defence as well as the need for communication infrastructure in the mainstream. We are therefore committed to offering solutions that make India ready for multifaceted challenges both externally and internally, military or mainstream, traditional or modern.
Robotics:
L&T, in collaboration with CAIR, has developed and engineered an array of modern and advanced military robots to meet surveillance and reconnaissance requirements. These robots are adept at exploring and area mapping for localization and perception during high-risk operations. Our capabilities allow us to develop and engineer customized robots for varied military applications.
Satellite Ground Stations:
L&T offers Satellite Ground Station solutions in C, S, Ku and Ka bands for high-speed data and video communications supporting several secondary ground stations with a main primary station. The IP-based Satcom Link enables Centralised Situational Awareness and extends capability for compressed video, voice and data which aids in decision-making. We also provide customized NMS solutions, ground operations and support.
Homeland Security:
We believe that communication should be robust not only at the borders, but also internally. For homeland security, we have a state-of-the-art system – the Rapid Deployed Communication System (RDCS) for establishing communication during national disasters and in disturbed areas. A one-of-its-kind system, the RDCS that is suitable for Disaster Management and Homeland Security requirements, is an open-protocol based system that can seamlessly connect to legacy as well as advanced communication devices. A variant of RDCS, named INCIS-FLY Away Kit is in-service with the Indian Navy that is being used during joint operations and exercises with friendly countries by the Indian Navy.
