Line of Sight Communications:

L&T offers a range of products for Line of Sight (LOS) communications to address different strategic needs.

• High Capacity Radio Relay: The High Capacity Radio Relay (HCRR) is the latest generation of Line of Sight broadband systems, possessing features like NATO Band IV, Dual Mode - High Capacity mode and Frequency Hopping mode. It is offered as a Point-to-Point and a Point-to-Multi Point Radio Relay with an embedded electronic rotator/tilter for very fast field deployment.
• High Speed Data Modem: The indigenously designed V/UHF High-speed data modem has been developed for specific applications of the Indian Navy which use V/UHF radio sets. It allows information to be sent at high data-transfer rate between ships, aircrafts and shore stations.
• IP Nano Radios: High performance wireless Ethernet Radio.

Beyond Line of Sight Communications:

We offer communication solutions to address challenges in integrating distant centers over secured lines and HF Radios in collaboration with its partner Sunair for long distance, intercontinental communication.

The UHF Linking Equipment enables pan-India Communications between naval sites and augments the strategic network with a strong backbone.

Tactical Military Networks:

At L&T we understand that security, ad-hoc network and interoperability are essential for building a strong communication infrastructure for which we have a range of products from Encryption units to routers to gateways.

• Bulk Encryption Unit: Jointly developed with DRDO, the Bulk Encryption Unit enables data encryption over networks.
• RoIP Gateway: Radio over Internet Protocol (RoIP) interconnects standard two-way radios with an IP network. In its simplest form, the RoIP Gateway system converts a radio signal to digital data suitable for transporting over an IP network and vice-versa.
• Tactical Service Router: The Tactical Services Router (TSR) is a rugged integrated services router providing robust unified tactical services, secure communications and deterministic routing on a single platform.
• MANET Network: The MANET Router forms a unique infrastructure-less self-configuring, self-healing and self-forming network with secure wireless connectivity, thus enabling the forces to extend their reach on the front more securely.
