An engineering marvel built for a millennium

The L&T-built Shri Ram Janmbhoomi Mandir in Ayodhya, unveiled on 22nd January 2024 by the Honourable Prime Minister, is a testament to outstanding engineering & enduring craftsmanship.

Standing tall within a 70-acre expanse, it follows the ancient Nagara style, featuring three floors and five domes, and the grand Shikara. Built on a multi-layered, rock-solid foundation, the Mandir is crafted with pink Bansi Paharpur stones interlocked with copper pins and joints, without any reinforcements. Designed to last a thousand years and withstand Zone 4 seismic activity, the Mandir is adorned with over 10,000 intricately carved idols & designs by over 1,500 artisans.

Post completion the temple was inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on January 22, 2024.
