Ahmedabad Metro is a rapid transit system for the cities of Ahmedabad, New Ahmedabad, Greater Ahmedabad, Nadiad and Gandhinagar in Gujarat that will connect the 4 corners of Ahmedabad city with 2 corridors and 32 stations. The alignment will have a total length of 40.03 km, of which approximately 6.5 km is underground, and the rest elevated. We completed Phase 1 of the project of 6.6 km underground section with 2 major stations that was inaugurated by the Prime Minister of India. The section features India’s longest single stretch metro rail tunnel of 1.97 km. With the inauguration of Phase 1, the 21-km corridor of the project between Thaltej and Vastral with 17 stations has become operational. The second phase of the project will connect Gandhinagar to Ahmedabad once fully operational.
