Debari, a small but brightly sunlit village in southern Rajasthan is with abundant Jarosite landfill due to its proximity to the Zinc refineries. Our PT&D business took up the challenge to transform the Jarosite landfill to a zero emission solar power plant. The irregularities in the ground slope were managed by filling zinc slag, which was available at site. This is the only ground mounted Solar PV plant that stands on especially designed raft foundations and sets a great example of using wastelands to produce clean energy.
