The Dwarka Expressway, designed as a model urban expressway, serves the region's traffic needs for the next 20-25 years. Linking Delhi Airport to Gurugram Bypass, it enhances transportation efficiency. L&T constructed two of the four packages, covering 19 km of the total 29 km length. Inaugurated by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi on March 11, 2024, the expressway's standout feature is its 34-meter wide, 8-lane highway on a single pier. It's an access-controlled, grade-separated corridor with elevated and at-grade service roads on both sides, featuring 4-level grade-separated underpasses, elevated roads, and flyovers. Utilizing precast segmental spine and cantilever wing construction, it includes a cloverleaf and trumpet loop, accommodating over 3 lakh vehicles daily. This expressway is all set to ease traffic congestion, reduce pollution, and enhance transportation efficiency in the Delhi NCR region.
