The first 10,000 MW initiative taken up by the Royal Government of Bhutan & the Government of India, Punatsangchi-1 is the largest hydro power project undertaken in Bhutan and an environmental-friendly, run-of-the-river scheme. The construction mandate for us includes a concrete dam, two diversion tunnels, four desilting chambers, headrace & tunnel race tunnels, a surge shaft, two pressure shafts, an underground power station and transformer cavern.
