The Baha'i house of worship in New Delhi (often referred to as the Lotus Temple for its unique shape) is certainly one of the most iconic structures built by us. A place of worship for the Baha'i sect, the temple has 27 freestanding marble-clad petals; arranged in clusters of three to form nine sides. Nine doors open into a central hall with a roof height of slightly more than 40 metres and has a capacity of 2,500 people.
