The Surya Regional Bulk Water Supply Scheme, executed by us, addresses the growing water demands in Mumbai's western sub-region, including Vasai-Virar City Municipal Corporation (VCMC), Mira Bhayandar Municipal Corporation (MBMC), and 27 villages. Serving a population of 3 million, the project sources water from the Kawadas pickup weir, treats it at the SuryaNagar Water Treatment Plant, and distributes it via underground pipelines to municipal corporations and villages. This project, featuring our largest drinking water intake, water treatment plant, and RCC master balancing reservoir, was successfully completed despite formidable challenges. These included right-of-way issues, challenging geology, TBM execution complexities, and elevated structure locations.
